Complément d’objet direct (COD)

It answers to the question “qui” (who) or “quoi” (what) and is never introduced by a preposition.

A direct object is a noun phrase that refers to a person or thing that is directly affected by the action of the verb in a sentence.

Example:

Verb: regarde

Question: Quoi?
